How to Submit to the MCWG BLOG:
Please email your completed article to guestpost@mnchristianwriters.com along with the category in which you would like to appear. Our categories include fiction, non-fiction, social media, the art of writing, habits of successful writers, skill-building tips, and devotionals for writers.
To be published on our blog, you must be a current member of the MCWG. Additionally, your article will be evaluated for its content merit, editorial standards, and alignment with our mission statement. Our Blogging Team will evaluate all submissions prior to publication and respond accordingly. That process may take up to two weeks.
Guest Author Requirements for the MCWG Blog:
- Well-written and high-quality original article.
- Article that reflects the writing style/tone of the blog.
- Short 20-word author bio including a maximum of one anchor text link to your own website. Note: To adhere to Google’s guidelines for guest blogging, we do not allow links inside the blog to post to outside websites.
- Proper attribution of data, quotations, and other third-party content referenced in the article.
Learn More - 600-800 words: Posts should be as long as needed to be high quality and comprehensive. We have chosen a 600-word minimum, however, so as to produces the best content for Google SEO rankings. We want to see you and your work recognized and valued.
- Posts should be emailed with no attachments, as we cannot guarantee the safety of any attachment. We will not open attachments.
- Images must be original work produced by the author. To avoid copyright infringement, we cannot accept any purchased image from the author.
Legal and Editorial Standards:
- We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. As such, we cannot and will not publish any content that conveys political matter of any sort or that promotes political parties and/or candidates.
- The Blogging Team retains the right to edit and adapt your guest article according to its editorial standards.
- The Blogging Team retains the right to add or remove content as information changes over time.
- Please avoid any self-promotion in the body of your article. Save that for your author bio.
- We cannot allow you to republish your guest post to your own blog afterward. Google frowns on duplicate copy on the Internet.
- Authors will retain the copyright to their work. For the blog, however, they are providing first-rights to the Minnesota Christian Writer’s guild for 12 months. Remember you cannot publish your article in full anywhere on the World Wide Web once it’s published here. It can, however, be used in any print medium.
- The Minnesota Christian Writer’s guild reserves the right to include calls-to-action to our own content, including but not limited to email newsletters, ebooks, and other downloadable content or products.

Google.com often cannot tell which website hosts the original content. Because of this policy, the Guild cannot risk getting penalized for granting permission.
