Roxy Humphrey’s journey, transitioning from an educator to children’s book author, has been an interesting one. She has published four children’s books, with her first book published during covid. Roxy will share the steps on how to start with a simple idea on paper, to finding an illustrator, choosing the publishing format, and marketing your stories.

Meet Roxy Humphrey, a supermom of five, and affectionately known as ” Nana”  to three adorable granddaughters. She’s happily married to her high school sweetheart and resides on a charming hobby farm north of Stillwater, where she tends to her chickens and two loyal dogs. Having retired as an elementary school teacher, Roxy’s true passion lies in nurturing literacy, especially among fifth graders. She radiates joy whenever she’s immersed in the world of books, whether it’s with her students, her grandkids, or during her own time.
